tacitOS Terms of Service
Effective date: June 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the tacitOS desktop
application, tacitOS Cloud, the Google Connector CLI, and related services
(collectively, "tacitOS"). tacitOS is operated by ALB Division Kft. ("tacitOS",
"we", "us", or "our"). By using tacitOS, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your Account
You may need a tacitOS account, Google login, subscription, entitlement, or
device activation to use some features. You are responsible for keeping your
devices, accounts, credentials, and sessions secure. You must provide accurate
information and promptly update it when it changes.
2. Google Login And Google Connector CLI
tacitOS uses two separate Google OAuth surfaces:
- tacitOS app login uses Google identity scopes only to sign you in to tacitOS.
- Google Connector CLI lets you connect Google accounts so your agent can work
with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
When you connect a Google account to the Google Connector CLI, you authorize
tacitOS and your agent to access and act on that Google account according to the
Google scopes you approve and the commands you run. You represent that you have
the right to connect the account and to permit the requested actions.
You can revoke Google access through your Google Account permissions page and
disconnect or remove local connector state in tacitOS. Google services remain
subject to Google's own terms and policies.
3. Agent Actions And User Responsibility
tacitOS is an AI-agent application. Agent outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate,
or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing agent
plans, outputs, tool calls, messages, files, calendar changes, document edits,
spreadsheet edits, and email actions before relying on them.
Write-capable Google Connector CLI actions can change, create, send, share,
move, trash, or delete content in your Google account. Some write actions require
explicit confirmation in the tool wrapper, but you remain responsible for the
instructions you give, the accounts you connect, and the consequences of actions
performed under your authorization.
tacitOS does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, or professional advice.
Use professional judgment and obtain qualified advice before relying on agent
outputs in high-risk situations.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not use tacitOS to:
- violate law, contracts, third-party rights, privacy rights, or platform rules;
- send spam, phishing, malware, deceptive messages, or unauthorized bulk email;
- access, copy, modify, delete, or share content without proper authority;
- harass, harm, exploit, or impersonate others;
- bypass security controls, rate limits, entitlement checks, or approval gates;
- reverse engineer hosted services except where law expressly permits it;
- upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data; or
- use connected Google accounts in a way that violates Google terms or policies.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use creates legal,
security, operational, payment, or abuse risk.
5. Subscriptions And Paid Features
Some features require an active subscription, payment, entitlement, or license.
Prices, renewal terms, taxes, refunds, and payment processing may be shown at
checkout or in the product. Payment processing may be handled by Stripe or
another payment provider. Access to paid features may stop if payment fails, a
subscription ends, or entitlement checks cannot be completed.
6. Your Content
You keep ownership of your content. You grant us the limited rights needed to
operate tacitOS, provide requested features, process support requests, secure the
service, and comply with law. This includes the right to process prompts,
attachments, Google Workspace content that you choose to connect, tool results,
and local or cloud metadata as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights needed to upload,
process, connect, instruct, edit, send, or share content through tacitOS.
7. Third-Party Services
tacitOS may interoperate with Google, Stripe, model providers, cloud hosting,
email delivery, update hosting, and other third-party services. Third-party
services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not
responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
If you configure or choose a model provider, you are responsible for deciding
whether that provider is appropriate for the confidentiality and sensitivity of
the data you send to it.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information,
including Google user data. By using tacitOS, you agree that we may process
information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Software, Updates, And Availability
tacitOS may include desktop software, cloud services, local CLI tools, packaged
tool artifacts, and automatic or manual updates. We may change, suspend, limit,
or discontinue features at any time. We may release beta or experimental
features that are less stable and may change without notice.
You may not remove proprietary notices, misrepresent tacitOS as your own service,
or use tacitOS trademarks or branding without permission.
10. Disclaimers
tacitOS is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted
by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy,
availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, tacitOS and its operators, affiliates,
employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost
profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or
costs of substitute services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related
to tacitOS will not exceed the amount you paid to tacitOS for the service during
the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you
used only free features.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not
apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless tacitOS and its operators,
affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages,
losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of tacitOS, your
content, your connected accounts, your instructions to agents, or your violation
of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using tacitOS at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if
you violate these Terms, create risk, fail to pay, or if continued service would
be unlawful or impractical. Termination does not affect rights or obligations
that by their nature should survive, including payment obligations, disclaimers,
limitations of liability, and indemnity.
14. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms as tacitOS changes. We will update the effective date
when we make material changes. Continued use of tacitOS after updated Terms
become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, except for conflict-of-law
rules, unless consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
